At the end of a fantastic first week The Panda Class had a special day to celebrate.
At Edinburgh Zoo,Scotland, on Friday 24th August Tian Tian the giant panda celebrated her 9th birthday.
Of course our class needed to celebrate this and in the afternoon had a party/picnic.
We sang Happy Birthday in Chinese as well as watching the live webcam to see what Tian Tian was doing.
Our class researched pandas this week and found out that they sleep up to 15 hours a day but we managed to see her sitting up and eating her bamboo.
On Friday afternoon we held the first Achievement Assembly of the new school year. It was extremely difficult for the teachers to descide who should be awarded the certificate as we have had such a brilliant first week – well done everyone!
Here are the photos of the individual children who were awarded the achievement certificate this week.
The whole of the Panda’s class were awarded a certificate from Miss O’Hare for their combine efforts this week.
We are proud of all of our children, who have settled back into school enthusiastically, with a smile.

What a fantastic start to the new school year! All the teachers are very proud of how the children have settled into their new classes and are making new friends welcome.
