Open Phonics Lessons
Tomorrow is the first day of series of open phonics lessons here in primary. All parents have received an invitation to sign-up to experience a phonics lesson with their child. If you need further information please refer to the last school newsletter or speak to a member of the team.

On Thursday 30th October, as part of the children in Nursery, Reception and Year 3 and 4 International Primary Curriculum the children will be visiting the
Burger Zoo. The bus will leave at 8.45, so please ensure your child is in school early. On this day the children in these classes will be collected early
from the playground at 8.30 am.
The children will need a snack, drink and packed lunch.
Halloween Fancy Dress on Friday
On Friday all the children and the primary team can come to school in fancy dress. We will have a spooky day of fun and learning. Please remember that the costumes shouldn’t be too frightening for our younger primary children.
Our fantastic Parents Association have planned a wonderful party for our children to enjoy. If you would like to have more information please ask a member of our Parents Association or ask at reception.
We started the morning with our first Music Concert for the new school year. What a fantastic way to start our school day!
All the children did a fantastic job of performing in front of an audience and we are extremely proud of every child!
We ended the assembly with our parents and eldest children singing the song The Summer of 69.

On Monday 13th October at 3.15 pm you are welcome to attend a presentation led by Mr Matthew Scragg about our new literacy project. The meeting will be held in the Year 5 classroom.
To mark the end of our wonderful Book Week we have all dressed up as a character from a favourite story.

If you have forgotten to bring in your money to purchase a book from our visiting author, please don’t worry there will be another opportunity to purchase the books after school today.
The fun of book week continues… today the children are all involved in workshops with our visiting author Simon Murray.
The children have been learning how to illustrate and learn how to be an author.

All our Nursery class waved good bye to our brave princesses and knights and wished them a wonderful school trip to Slot Loevestein Castle. What a wonderful way to launch our book week!
