Presentation on Bullying
Bullying occurs in every school and work place. We proactively work with the children to empower them and educate on anti-bullying. To support this further and as a preventative measure, we would like you to invite you to a presentation by Ans der Borst on Wednesday 21stJanuary at 1.30pm on the following issues:
- · What is (cyber)bullying?
- · How to recognise it
- · How to recognise potential problems
- · How to support your child if they are being bullied
- · How to support your child is they are a bully
- · Practical tips & advice
Ans der Borst is a health specialist from the GGD (Public Health and Safety) and will be able to offer you tips and practical advice.
Year 6 Anti-Bullying Performance
Following the success of the wonderful Christmas performances we have decided to plan a special show for our Year 6 class before they become secondary students. The performance will be a great platform for the children to shine by demonstrating their singing and acting talents as well as having a very powerful message about anti-bullying. Performances will be held from the 22nd June, please refer to the calendar for performance times.
Mother Tongue Language Days (5th and 6th March)
We are planning language days to share the rich diversity of languages we have in the primary and to raise the profile of the children’s languages. For this to be a success, we need the support of parents. If you are willing to support the children during these days please email your interest to Miss Marianthi at firstname.lastname@example.org
We would like to invite you to a meeting about this on Wednesday 4th February at 2.15 pm in the library.
As always, if you have any question or queries please do not hesitate to speak myself or a member of the team.
Miss Louise Everson
Wishing everyone a very Happy New Year!
Its is really lovely to see so many happy faces again and welcome new children and families to our school.
Today we introduced our new Social Emotional Aspects of Learning (SEAL) theme ‘Going for Goals’. This term we are sharing a school goal of being a fantastic friend. During our assembly the children thought of great ways that we will achieve our goal. Some of the ideas included:
– start conversations with new friends (Kyle)
– be inclusive with everyone
– help people when they fall (Reception)
– give a friend a hug if they are sad (Dorian)
– invite other children into your games
– communicate in a friendly way (Diederik)
|Please post your ideas on this weblog and I will add them to our display in school.

Our personal learning goal is resilience. Harry gave an excellent example today of a gentleman who has shown resilience.
Can you think of a way you have demonstrated resilience? Please post your ideas on this weblog.
